THRESHFIELD AND LINTON NEAR GRASSINGTON, WHARFEDALE

Customer comments about Dales Cottage

“If you are after a cosy, relaxing break in a real northern paradise - you will not be disappointed! The cottage is so comforting and the location is incredibly beautiful. Many superb walks lie on the door-step and some excellent local pubs and restaurant are within 15 mins walk (the Fountaine Inn in Linton is especially good!). In addition the hosts quite simply could not be more helpful! Files of walks and local restaurants are at hand to help you plan your stay (in addition to how to operate the AGA). Any question you have will be answered in the instructions left on your arrival. With a howling storm banging on the windows, there is nowhere else you would rather be than tucked up in Dales Cottage with the wood burner roaring! Would not hesitate to recommend! Richard”

“This must be the best cottage in the Yorkshire Dales! Just Loved it. We'll definitely be back. Perfect location for what we had planned. Thanks Sophie”

“What an amazing house ! Absolutely loved it. The homemade cake and a bottle of wine made it feel like home away from home immediately upon our arrival. Absolutely loved cooking on aga! The house is beautifully decorated, very cozy with all modern appliances. Would love to come back again ! Thank you !”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Dales Cottage. It was perfect for us, plenty of space and always warms due to the Aga and wood burner - great for drying out after long wet walks over the Easter break! The rest of the house is really well put together and has a very 'chic-cottage' feels. The location is close to Grassington - about 10-15 minute walk, here there are local shops and a couple of pubs which are all very lovely. Linton Falls itself is quite small, no local shops or pub, but this really was not an issue for us - we organised for a food shop to be delivered when we arrived so had plenty of supplies and enjoyed the walk into Grassington if we fancied visiting the pub. The majority of our long walks we were able to go on foot straight from the house which was great, meant the cars were hardly used. Sophie was great at getting back to us if we had any questions. The next time I am visiting The Dales I will definitely be staying at Dales Cottage.”
