Lavender Cottage & Dales Cottage T&Cs

These terms are to provide certainty for your selves should you need to cancel. If you would like any further clarification then please get in touch, we will always endeavour to help you and make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible!

Payment.  We require £150 deposit to secure your booking. We are happy to hold the cottage for 3 working days for payment by bank transfer or cheque to reach us. This is non-refundable but transferable to one other date should you need to cancel for any reason, if notified at least 8 weeks before the date the holiday is due to start. The balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday start date.

We also require a good housekeeping deposit of £100 payable at the time of balance. This is refunded in full within 1 week of the holiday on condition that the Cottage is left in an acceptable condition.

If any cheque is returned by the bank then the charges will be passed to you.  All payments must be made before the commencement of your holiday and failure to do so will mean you will lose your holiday.

If you cancel within 8 weeks of the holiday you will forfeit the full rental. However, should we manage to re-let your stay then we are happy to refund you (less any difference should we have to re-let at a reduced short notice rate).

In the extremely unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking then I will endeavour to make similar alternative arrangements within the area that you are happy with, or alternatively you will be refunded in full.

Housekeeping - Please take care of the Cottage. Our only rule at home is no outdoor shoes in the house please! We understand that accidents happen with the odd broken wine glass or chipped plate. Whether you are here for a weekend or longer we ask that you remove your outdoor shoes at the front door and please report any accidents or spillages that do happen so we can take care of them. We endeavour to maintain the Cottages to the highest standards and want you to enjoy your stay. The following are included in your rental: Linen – all 100% cotton bedding, towels, all kitchen tea towels etc. heating, hot water and all logs for the wood burner in Lavendar Cottage. There is a full cleaning between each occupancy but we would really appreciate the cottage being left clean and tidy and thank you for your help with this

Spring Water at Lavender Cottage - Our water is from a private spring. It is filtered and UV light treated and inspected by the Council. Very occasionally, the water may become discoloured after heavy rain. If you prefer, please bring your own bottled water.

Pets – One well behaved dog is welcome upon prior arrangement.  There is a small charge of £ 20 per week.

Liability - In the absence of negligence on our part, the use of the properties and facilities is entirely at your own risk.

Special Occasion - We can arrange for hampers, flowers and meals to be waiting in the cottage for you – please enquire for ideas and help!

Arrival & Departure times - We can often be flexible on these depending on other bookings, however our standard check in time is 3pm on the day of arrival and 10 am on the day of departure.

Complaints - If something goes wrong on your holiday, or if you have a complaint, then contact the phone number shown on the information sheet.  I am unable to investigate or act on complaints once the holiday has been completed.

For any other queries please contact me on 01756 730 277 or 07710 835 157, we will always endeavour to make your stay enjoyable.
